SALLY CLARKSON
Sally Clarkson is a Discipler. Over the course of her life and marriage, she has continually called women to step into their God-given roles as lifegivers and influencers. She and Clay met through Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) during college and went on staff together in 1975. Sally ministered to students in Texas, discipled women in Communist Eastern Europe, and returned in 1980 to work with executive women and singles in Denver where Clay was beginning seminary studies at Denver Seminary. They were married a year later, in Dallas where they first met. After graduation, they served in international ministry in Vienna, Austria, served on the staff of two churches, and then started Whole Heart Ministries in 1994. Their four children, now all grown, are serving Christ in different ways around the world and online, through books, music, speaking, and film. Sally and Clay have recently expanded their ministry to mothers and Christian parents in the UK.
LIFE WITH SALLY
Through twenty-two years of conferences, ministering online since 2007, and more than twenty books on motherhood, Sally has encouraged women to embrace the cup that God has given them, to build a lifegiving home for their husband and children, and to bring the love and life of Christ to their personal spheres of influence. As she entered a new phase of life (grandmother!), she and her ministry team realized the need to preserve and share her many messages. Life with Sally is the fruit of that vision. Even more, though, it is where Sally, as a lifegiving woman and mother, can personally reach, teach, and mentor women around the world. “I want LifewithSally.com to be an online destination for women—a place to draw them to maturity in Christ, give them useful resources for their family life, and create an online community of faith where they can share the journey of motherhood with others. WHOLE HEART MINISTRIES
In spring 1994, Clay and Sally Clarkson held their first WholeHearted Child Workshop in their home in rural central Texas, published the workshop notes that fall as a book, and Whole Heart Ministries was born. Their mission has remained the same since that first year: to give Christian parents help and hope to raise wholehearted children for Christ. They have since written and published more than two dozen books on Christian home and parenting. Sally's motherhood conferences touched thousands of mothers for over twenty years, and her SallyClarkson.com inspirational blog and podcast minister to thousands online every day. Her Mom Heart Ministry movement of small groups touches mothers in the US, and is expanding into the Mum Heart Ministry in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and other countries. This Life with Sally membership site is, in many ways, the culmination of her lifetime of ministry to Christian women and mothers. In the same way, Family Faith Project, a new ministry initiative of Whole Heart, will be the culmination of Clay's writing and teaching ministry on family faith formation and lifegiving Christian parenting.
