Recipe: Simple Party Food
This month, I (Brandee) hosted a baby shower for my daughter with simple but elegant food. This menu would work for any type of party or shower.
At the shower we served quiche, soup, and salad along with Grilled Pesto and Cheese on Sourdough Bread. We also served up some grape and pineapple fruit skewers to make it simple. My daughter requested cinnamon rolls for her dessert so I made a 3-layer cinnamon roll cake with cream cheese frosting! So fun!
Tip: When you make ahead pasta soup, never add cooked pasta to the soup until reheated and ready to eat! Also, If you prepare soup and freeze in foil pans, you can defrost and then put into a 375 degree oven for about an hour and you don't have additional pots to clean. You can then place them straight into a chafing dish or place right onto an electric skillet with a water bath!
I have added the soup recipe and a few photos (Sally is in some!) for inspiration.
